Citizen focus group
Citizens Focus Groups bringing together local citizens and communities were organised a three stages in the project. The focus groups provided insight into understanding the societal acceptance of systems for paper and packaging, WEEE, and construction and demolition waste. Amongst other things, they discussed effective (and innovative) measures to incentivise citizens to participate in waste collection.
This method is applied to gain understanding of ideas, wishes and concerns of citizens as regards to good waste collection practices. People from different parts of the cities were invited randomly in order to get maximum distribution in demography, social status, and geography.
